About Netzfeder

Personally accountable.
Practical in delivery.

I am Niklas Lamb, the person behind Netzfeder. I help businesses keep their IT clear and reliable, without unnecessary complexity.

About me

One business.
A direct connection.

I bring several years of experience as an IT systems administrator, project manager and IT team leader, working in both IT service companies and in-house IT departments. Trained as an IT specialist in systems integration, I focus on backup, firewalls and networks, open-source solutions, Active Directory and Microsoft 365.

Netzfeder is currently my freelance IT business. My long-term goal is to develop it into an IT services company. I agree the work directly with you and keep you informed of progress. I document the work and its results in detail.

My regional focus is Dresden and the surrounding area, and Neubrandenburg in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the surrounding area. We will agree on a suitable way of working based on your task.

How we get started

Understand first. Then implement.

01

Listen

You describe your situation, goals and existing difficulties.

02

Assess

We clarify what information is missing and which next steps make sense.

03

Agree

We discuss scope and approach before implementation begins.

Local before cloud

The right solution starts with your requirements.

I favour local infrastructure where it makes sense. These questions help assess the options, including when local systems and cloud services work together.

Internet dependence
Which tasks must work when the internet connection is interrupted? Local systems may also depend on external services.
Collaboration
Do you mainly work at one site or collaborate from different locations? Access and file sharing need to suit that pattern.
Operation and maintenance
Who handles updates, permissions and backups? Local systems need maintenance, and cloud services still leave responsibilities with your business.
Costs over the service life
Compare purchase costs, ongoing fees, support and future migration. Open source does not automatically mean cost-free operation.
Control over data
Where is data stored, who can access it and how can it be backed up or exported? Storage location alone does not answer these questions.

The next step

Your IT can be simpler.

Tell me what is on your mind. Together, we can work out where support would help.
